MMDA rescuers use pumpboats to reach Bohol town

MANILA - The Metro Manila Development Authority on Wednesday said they will focus rescue and retrieval operations in Bohol upon the recommendation of the provincial disaster risk reduction and management council. MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino said two teams have already been deployed to Bohol and Cebu while a third team will be arriving in Bohol today. He said the team in Bohol had to use pumpboats to reach Maribojoc in Bohol where they recovered 1 female cadaver. He said the teams are equipped with sensors, extractor machines, rubble cameras and trauma kits to help in the rescue operations. Mornings@ANC, October 16, 2013
